Especially during the past weeks, a lot of teams were forced to immediately start collaborating remotely. Due to this many people started to discuss which tools they might use to better work together. What I observed throughout those discussions was that people very often only focused on the tools but did not change or discussed about the way they worked. Often this ended in “blindly” implementing fancy tools, with teams, people and structures not prepared to really use or work with those tools. This might result in in frustrated team members and organizations or managers concluding: “My people are not able to work with those tools” Or “Remote work does not work for me and my team” In this session I want to start from this point. At first, I will share some experiences and observations. Then start some discussions about your experiences and on how we can prevent these kinds of habits.
We will use a google Jamboard do do some Brainstorming together.
